Lynch Consultants, LLC is seeking an Internal Controls Analyst to strengthen financial processes and internal controls for the Department of the Air Force. The role supports audit readiness and improvement initiatives across DoD financial operations.

The position is hybrid (3 days onsite at Camp Springs/JRB Andrews, MD, 2 days remote) with a salary of $73,000 commensurate with experience. Requires active Secret Clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• Must have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have 3+ years of experience in financial management, internal controls, auditing, business process improvement, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Review financial processes and internal controls to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct interviews and walkthroughs with Air Force personnel to understand existing processes.
• Document processes, findings, and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Help develop and improve policies, procedures, and internal control documentation.
• Analyze financial and operational data and prepare reports for management.
• Work with Air Force personnel and other stakeholders to implement improvements.
• Prepare presentations and briefings to communicate progress and recommendations.

This individual will help improve financial processes, evaluate internal controls, identify areas for improvement, and support the Air Force's financial audit readiness efforts.
