Joint Commission is seeking an Internal Communications Strategist Manager to shape and execute communications that inform, engage, and align employees across the enterprise, domestically and internationally.
The role partners with executives, HR, Marketing and Communications to ensure consistent messaging and effective channels, lead quarterly Townhalls, manage content calendars, and measure impact across a fast-paced environment.
The Internal Communications Strategist Manager will play a critical role in shaping and executing communications that inform, engage, and align employees across the Joint Commission enterprise, domestically and internationally. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, this individual will serve as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders and leaders across the organization, helping translate business priorities, organizational changes, and key initiatives into clear, compelling communications. The goal with all internal communications is to ensure that employees know how changes impact them, how they can get involved, and how their work contributes to the enterprise's strategic priorities.
This person will partner closely with executives, business unit leaders, Human Resources, Marketing, and Communications colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication across channels.
Responsibilities will include strategizing with internal stakeholders on different channels to utilize for communicating with employees, such as company-wide emails, targeted employee group newsletters, the Joint Commission internal intranet site, in-office screens, and more. The Internal Communications Strategist Manager will also be responsible for planning and coordinating quarterly Townhall meetings, which involve executive presentations and panels, and also working with the Employee Recognition Committee (managed by Human Resources) on internal awards programs.
The ideal candidate is both a strategist and executor, capable of independently managing multiple priorities at one time, building a content calendar to ensure the right cadence to not overwhelm employees and ensuring people know the difference between nice-to-know information and where action is required. They must be skilled at developing executive-level content, advising leaders on communication approaches, and driving communications programs that support organizational transformation and employee connection.
As a key member of the Communications team, this individual will lead enterprise-wide internal communications efforts, identify opportunities to improve communication effectiveness, and help establish best practices that elevate the employee experience. Success in this role requires exceptional writing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
