Job summary

Madison Area YMCA in Madison, NJ is seeking an Internal Comms & Project Coordinator to support organization-wide priorities through project coordination and communications. The role reports to the SVP of Strategic Management and Childhood Education and focuses on improving engagement, compliance, and operational consistency.

Key duties include coordinating initiatives, tracking timelines and budgets, and developing internal communications that reach across departments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project management, administrative and/or communication experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communications and leadership skills.
• Experience in internal communications, database management and recordkeeping.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and build cross-department relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate organizational initiatives and administration across departments.
• Manage project timelines, milestones, budgets, and risk metrics.
• Develop and activate internal communications plans with leadership.
• Collect and analyze project data to prepare status reports.
• Support policy implementation, training records, and safety procedures.
• Promote collaboration and cross-team information sharing.
