Shield AI is seeking an on-site Internal Communications Partner in San Mateo, CA to lead enterprise communications for priorities, organizational change, and ongoing employee messaging. The role requires writing, editing, and project management to steer multiple workstreams with high judgment in a fast-paced environment.

You will partner with senior leaders to align messaging, create plans, manage timelines, and deliver clear communications across channels, while proactively addressing questions

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in internal, change, or corporate communications, or a related field.
• Excellent writing, copy-editing, and presentation-development skills, with close attention to detail.
• Experience developing communications for acquisitions, integrations, organizational change, technology transformation, People programs, or other large-scale business changes.
• Demonstrated experience managing communications plans, timelines, stakeholders, reviews, and deliverables across multiple projects.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver communications for assigned change initiatives, including M&A and integration activity.
• Write and edit employee communications across channels, including announcements, FAQs, talking points, and intranet news.
• Turn complex information into clear communications that explain changes and anticipate questions.
• Manage communications plans, calendars, project trackers, reviews, approvals, and delivery timelines.
• Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align messaging, timing, audiences, and channels.
• Support leadership communications, including company meetings, updates, talking points, and presentations.
• Flag communications risks and employee impacts early; recommend solutions.
• Gather and synthesize employee feedback to inform message refinement.
