Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking an Internal Communications Intern to support the Corporate Communications team. Under supervision, you will assist with implementing communications plans and managing internal channels to inform and engage employees and learners.

You will help create content, oversee intranet and mass email tools, and support newsletters and events. This role provides hands-on experience in communications channel management and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional setting.
• Experience writing business communications for class assignments or internships preferred.
• Light experience with content management systems preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of the main mass email tool for internal use and training.
• Review, edit and publish content to the MCW intranet.
• Help write new content as needed.
• Lead design and editing of internal newsletters (In Good Health, Corporate Compliance Newsletter, Weekly News Recap).
• Assist in executing institutional communications plans for annual events and initiatives.
