Job summary

What You’ll Do

Panasonic Energy is looking for interns to join our creative team in the Internal Communications department. The interns hired for this position should expect to learn all facets of manufacturing and will leave this position with invaluable skills and industry knowledge. Also, this internship program is highly regarded in our field, so successful participation will be a great addition to your resume.

Essential Duties
  • Support the Communications team in executing communication plans and drafting content for key company programs, including storytelling to bring Panasonic’s Mission/Vision/Behaviors for Success to life, Wellness/Benefits/Total Rewards programs, local events, and more.
  • Draft short articles and feature stories for company newsletter and/or intranet.
  • Support company live events, such as All Hands Meetings, and other corporate events as needed.
  • Collaborate on creative content creation to capture culture and drive employee engagement.
  • Bring fresh ideas and new perspectives to Panasonic’s Communications Program, serving as an agent for change in the way we reach and interact with employees today and in the future.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas and interns to leverage processes and ideas to and from other parts of the business.
  • Own projects from planning to execution. Use project management practices to engage stakeholders and cross-functional partners, move deliverables forward and achieve key deadlines.
  • Support the Communications team in executing communication plans and creating content that enhances the employee experience, including storytelling that brings Panasonic’s Mission/Vision/Behaviors for Success to life, employee recognition programs, company initiatives and key events.
  • Draft short articles, employee spotlights and feature stories for company newsletters, intranet channels and other internal communication platforms.
  • Contribute to the company intranet (SharePoint) content, design and navigation.
  • Support the planning, promotion and execution of live and in-person events, including All Hands Meetings, the company anniversary celebration and other employee engagement activities as needed.
  • Collaborate on creative content creation, including photography, video and employee-focused campaigns that capture culture and drive engagement.
  • Bring fresh ideas and new perspectives to Panasonic’s Communications Program, helping identify innovative ways to connect with employees and enhance the employee experience.
  • Partner with other functional areas and interns to support communication initiatives, events and employee engagement programs across the business.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Internship Details
  • The program will be a fulltime paid summer internship working for Panasonic Energy at the Gigafactory.
  • The program will be 12 weeks in length, and is planned to occur between Monday, May 17 and Friday, August 6, 2027. This date range is subject to change.
  • Must be able to attend the entirety of the internship.
Program Requirements
  • The program will be a full time paid summer internship working for Panasonic Energy onsite at the Gigafactory
  • Must attend entirety of internship from the indicated start and end date noted above
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Must have completed a minimum of 2 years at an accredited university
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis at the time the internship begins and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, O-1, TN, L-1, or other employment-based visas) to participate in the program or for a fulltime role after graduation. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Education
  • Basic/Required: Completion of at least two years of full-time enrollment) in a Bachelor’s degree program in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources or similar.

  • Must be currently enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited four-year college or university
  • GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write and communicate information clearly and concisely
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
