Job Statement
Provide support to assigned Client Strategist to generate sales and maintain service relationships with financial intermediaries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support to Client Strategist covering specific geographical territory in building relationships and growing/retaining assets under management.
- Develop and recruit new business prospects, and retain/build upon existing relationships to promote the sale of Sterling Capital’s investment solutions.
- Act as a liaison between Client Strategist and advisors/consultants.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics.Identify and proactively pursue solutions to meet the applicable needs of Client Strategists, advisors and consultants. Prepare and present sales plans and presentations and develop appropriate sales materials.
- Provide appropriate information and guidance to Client Strategists, advisors and consultants to generate sales.
- Research, analyze and interpret complex investment product information, financial reports and other market information; maintain in-depth knowledge of financial markets, competitive landscape and Sterling Capital’s investment solutions.
- Determine appropriate responses to meet applicable Client Strategist/advisor/consultant needs. Apply market information and other internal and external data – and communicate complex information in a clear, concise and organized manner – to positively influence the sale of Sterling Capital’s investment solutions.
- Serve as point of contact for advisors, financial consultants, banks, and financial planners to maximize sales.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training
- 2 years of investment sales experience or related industry experience
- FINRA Series 7 & 66 (or similar)
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and sound business judgment
- Must be an independent self-starter and demonstrate a passion for sales
- Demonstrated proficiency in standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
Preferred Qualifications:
- Financial Intermediary field sales experience
