Job summary

MSA Safety is seeking a detail-oriented auditor to execute SOx 404 testing and contribute to cross-functional internal controls work. You will leverage data analytics and automation to drive accuracy and efficiency in audits and partner with process owners to strengthen controls.

The role offers growth across multiple audit levels and requires a Bachelor's degree with SOx/audit experience, plus familiarity with SAP/Oracle/Power BI and audit software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and SOx requirements.
• Experience with data analytics, ITGCs, and audit tools.
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, and Power BI; audit software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute SOx 404 control testing per Internal Audit methodology and external auditor reliance.
• Test and document operating effectiveness of internal controls with procedures, evidence, and conclusions.
• Collaborate with process and control owners to understand business processes, data flows, and control activities.
• Maintain clear, accurate, timely workpapers per Internal Audit standards.
• Leverage data analytics, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency and insight.
• Develop repeatable analytic routines (continuous monitoring, population analytics, exceptions).
• Identify opportunities to use automation (RPA, scripts, AI) to streamline testing.
• Plan and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits using a risk-based approach.
• Identify control gaps and process improvements; support QAIP and required CPE.
