Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, is seeking an Internal Auditor to join our team in Calhoun, GA. You will perform professional internal auditing work across projects, planning, executing, and reporting engagements to strengthen controls and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 2–4 years of relevant experience, and pursuing CPA/CIA/CISA certification, with completion of Internal Auditor I within 24 months. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Actively pursuing or in possession of a CPA, CIA, or CISA certification.
• Completion of, within 24 months of starting the position, Internal Auditor I class.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans based on the organization's risk profile and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business processes and potential risks.
• Conduct interviews; examine transactions, documents, records, and reports; and observe procedures to evaluate adequacy of internal controls and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain detailed audit documentation, including workpapers, findings, and recommendations.
• Ensure that audit documentation complies with professional standards.
• Identifies and defines issues, analyzes evidence, and makes suggestions to improve issues.
• Prepares working papers in accordance with professional standards.
• Writes and reviews audit reports for distribution to management and senior management.
• Ensures compliance with the department’s annual requirements.
• Performs other duties as needed.
