Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking an Internal Auditor to strengthen our global audit program. You will plan, execute and report on audits aligned with the company’s risk profile and regulatory expectations, collaborating with various business units to assess controls and processes.

The role requires solid audit experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple engagements while maintaining high integrity and discretion. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Actively pursuing or in possession of a CPA, CIA, or CISA certification.
• Completion of Internal Auditor I class within 24 months of starting the position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans based on the organization's risk profile and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business processes and potential risks.
• Conduct interviews; examine transactions, documents, records, and reports; and observe procedures to evaluate adequacy of internal controls and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain detailed audit documentation, including workpapers, findings, and recommendations.
• Ensure that audit documentation complies with professional standards.
• Identify and define issues, analyze evidence, and make suggestions to improve issues.
• Prepare working papers in accordance with professional standards.
• Write and review audit reports for distribution to management and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with the department’s annual requirements.
• Perform other duties as needed.

What we need:

The Internal Auditor is an established performer that serves as an internal audit resource with assigned clients and will use their knowledge and experience to perform professional internal auditing work involving projects, consulting services, and providing input on the development of internal auditing plans. This role will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and reporting of internal audit engagements.

What you'll do:

What you have:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.

2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

Actively pursuing or in possession of a CPA, CIA, or CISA certification.

Completion of, within 24 months of starting the position, Internal Auditor I class.
