This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and up to one remote workday per week after an orientation period. The Internal Audit Manager oversees day‑to‑day audit operations and provides direction for planning and completing internal audits across the department. This role works independently with guidance from subject‑matter experts and is responsible for developing and maintaining the department's internal audit program. Key responsibilities include setting the strategic direction for internal audit activities, conducting department‑wide risk assessments, establishing risk management and fraud‑risk protocols, and evaluating operations to identify areas vulnerable to error, waste, or fraud. The position leads and executes a range of audits-including operational, financial, performance, investigative, IT, and compliance reviews-and prepares reports and recommendations for senior leadership. It manages audit resources, communicates results through written and oral briefings, and collaborates across the department by serving on project teams and advising management on governance, risk management, and internal controls. The role also provides consulting support, training, and policy guidance to drive improvements and maintain productive working relationships throughout the organization.
