Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) is looking for an Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team in Illinois. The role conducts professional internal audit work across performance, financial and compliance audits, guided by professional standards, with a mix of independent judgment and supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of auditing experience, with CIA/CPA as a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of full-time auditing experience required; internal audit preferred.
• Professional certifications optional but may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit procedures to identify issues and conclusions.
• Conduct interviews, review documents, and prepare working papers.
• Communicate audit results to management via reports and presentations.
• Maintain client and staff relationships and pursue professional development.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
