Job summary

Utah Retirement Systems seeks an Internal Auditor I–III to provide independent assurance and consulting services, improving risk management, control, and governance across URS and PEHP. The role emphasizes audits of financial, operational, and regulatory areas with minimal guidance and independent execution.

You will report to the Internal Audit Manager, conduct field and on-site audits, and prepare detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Education and experience with comprehensive audits across financial, operational, and regulatory areas.
• CPA/CIA/CISA/CGAP/CRMA/CFE preferred.
• Ability to develop audit plans and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Advise Internal Audit Manager on accounting, operations, and controls.
• Monitor control systems for adequacy and efficiency; implement corrective measures.
• Perform on-site audits of real estate portfolio and other entities to assess internal controls and compliance.
• Prepare and deliver audit reports and working papers for review.
• Interface with department heads to resolve audit issues and implement recommendations.
• Follow IIA ethics and International Professional Practices Framework.
