Job summary

Gordon Food Service invites you to join a 12-week paid internship at our Home Office, building connections in Internal Audit / Tax across North America and Canada.

You'll work alongside professionals, receive mentorship, participate in workshops, and shadow roles in Communications, Finance, Accounting, HR, IT, Marketing & Merchandising, Supply Chain and Sales to explore career paths.

Throughout the program, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals receiving mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities that will expose you to various aspects of our industry.

Build Connections By:

Working alongside our Internal Audit / Tax team that serves our customers, employees, and partners across North America and Canada. Collaborating with other Gordon Food Service interns and employees in the following areas:

• Communications
• Finance
• Accounting
• Human Resources
• IT
• Marketing & Merchandising
• Supply Chain
• Sales

Build a Career:

In the Internal Audit / Tax department by:

• Administering, calculating, and remitting all income and indirect taxes for the US and Canada including filing all income and indirect tax returns and related forms, preparing related journal entries and account reconciliations, and resolving issues or answering questions with auditors, external customers, and stakeholders across GFS.
• Performing risk mitigation, process improvement, assurance consulting, and internal controls testing for all North American operations within GFS with a focus on operations.

Meet the following qualifications to be considered for our 2027 internship program:

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Degree
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
