Job summary

Gordon Food Service invites students to join a 12-week paid internship at our Home Office, offering hands-on projects and mentorship from industry professionals.

As part of Internal Audit / Tax, you will gain exposure to tax filings, risk assessment, and controls testing across North America, with networking and development opportunities.

This internship supports growth through workshops, shadowing roles, and collaboration with a team that uses AI to deliver real-world business impact.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist Internal Audit / Tax team with tax filings, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support risk mitigation, process improvement and controls testing across NA operations.
• Shadow various roles, participate in mentorships, and attend networking opportunities.
• Develop personal and professional skills through workshops and collaboration opportunities.
• Work with teams leveraging AI to deliver real-world business impact.

Build a Career:

In the Internal Audit / Tax department by:

• Administering, calculating, and remitting all income and indirect taxes for the US and Canada including filing all income and indirect tax returns and related forms, preparing related journal entries and account reconciliations, and resolving issues or answering questions with auditors, external customers, and stakeholders across GFS.
• Performing risk mitigation, process improvement, assurance consulting, and internal controls testing for all North American operations within GFS with a focus on operations.
