Job summary

Marmon Group is seeking an Internal Audit Intern to join the Corporate Internal Audit team for summer 2027. The role provides hands-on exposure to internal audit practices within a large holding company, supporting engagements across operating units, financial statement analysis, and process walkthroughs.

You will assist with planning, testing controls, documenting work papers, and communicating findings. Travel to U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Enrolled in Audit coursework.
• Junior or Senior with GPA >= 3.0.
• Available May 24–Aug 13, 2027; able to provide housing and transportation.
• Must pass background check and pre-hire drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Support audit engagements with planning, walkthroughs, and execution.
• Test internal controls, processes, and financial data under supervision.
• Document work papers, findings, and action plans for management.
• Participate in meetings with business unit management to understand processes.
• Contribute to data analysis, process improvement, or ERM activities.
• Travel to site locations as audit schedules require (two full-week trips).

Marmon is now seeking a proactive and analytically minded Internal Audit Intern to join our Corporate Internal Audit team in the summer of 2027. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on exposure to internal audit practices within a complex holding company structure spanning multiple industries and geographies. The intern will play a key role in supporting audit engagements across operating companies, financial statement analysis, process walk‑throughs, and audit testing. This role will involve collaborating with internal auditors and business unit stakeholders, contributing to audit planning and execution, and helping identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Support internal audit engagements by assisting with planning, walkthroughs, and execution of audit procedures
• Perform testing of internal controls, operational processes, and financial data under auditor supervision
• Assist with documentation of audit work papers, findings, audit reports, and action plans that will aid management
• Participate in meetings with business unit management to understand processes and risks
• Contribute to special projects such as data analysis, process improvement initiatives, or enterprise risk activities
• Travel to site locations dependent on audit schedules (likely two separate full‑week trips to a U.S.-based manufacturing facility)

What Makes You Eligible

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Accounting or Finance;
• Already taken and/or currently enrolled in Audit coursework;
• Junior or Senior academic status w/minimum GPA of 3.0;
• Available to work during the target internship period of May 24‑Aug 13,2027;
• Able to provide own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship;
• Able to successfully complete a criminal background check and pre‑hire drug screen as a condition of employment.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with superb attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analysis tools (e.g., PowerBI) is a plus
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Proactive and self‑motivated; able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Interest in pursuing CPA or CIA strongly desired

Pay Range: 22.91‑28.00
