Job summary

The Marmon Group LLC, part of Marmon Holdings and Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking an Internal Audit Intern for summer 2027 in the Corporate Internal Audit team. You will support audit engagements, analyze financial data, and assist with control testing across a diversified holding company.

This internship offers exposure to multiple industries, collaboration with auditors and stakeholders, and opportunities to develop governance and risk management skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Finance; Junior/Senior with minimum GPA 3.0.
• Available May 24 – Aug 13, 2027.
• Able to provide housing and transportation for duration of internship.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and pre‑hire drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Support internal audit engagements by assisting with planning, walkthroughs, and execution of audit procedures.
• Perform testing of internal controls, operational processes, and financial data under supervision.
• Assist with documentation of audit work papers, findings, audit reports, and action plans.
• Participate in meetings with business unit management to understand processes and risks.
• Contribute to special projects such as data analysis or enterprise risk activities.
• Travel to site locations dependent on audit schedules (likely two separate full‑week trips to a U.S‑based manufacturing facility).

Marmon is now seeking a proactive and analytically minded Internal Audit Intern to join our Corporate Internal Audit team in the summer of 2027. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on exposure to internal audit practices within a complex holding company structure spanning multiple industries and geographies. The intern will play a key role in supporting audit engagements across operating companies, financial statement analysis, process walk‑throughs, and audit testing.

This role will involve collaborating with internal auditors and business unit stakeholders, contributing to audit planning and execution, and helping identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency.

What Makes You Eligible:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Accounting or Finance; already taken and/or or currently enrolled in Audit coursework; Junior or Senior academic status w/minimum GPA of 3.0
• Available to work during the target internship period of May 24 - Aug 13, 2027.
• Able to provide own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• Able to successfully complete a criminal background check and pre‑hire drug screen as a condition of employment

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with superb attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Proactive and self‑motivated; able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Interest in pursuing CPA or CIA strongly desired

Pay Range:

22.91 - 28.00
