Job summary

Credit Union of Colorado is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead the internal audit function, align work with the annual audit plan, and mentor audit staff in a collaborative, risk-driven environment.

You will oversee the full audit lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery across planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up, while promoting best practices in risk management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; plus five (5) years of auditing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred; industry certifications are preferred (CIA, CISA, CFE, CPA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Internal Audit Function and ensure alignment with the audit plan.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for audit staff.
• Oversee end-to-end audit lifecycle: planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.
• Monitor audit progress, resource allocation, and priorities.
• Ensure audits meet standards and regulatory expectations, with proper review before Director approval.
• Prepare risk-focused reporting for Supervisory Committee and leadership.
