Job summary

ORIX USA in Dallas, TX seeks an Internal Audit internship for undergraduates entering their senior year in accounting or finance. You will support the Internal Audit team, coordinate PBC requests in Optro, assist with audit testing, and draft findings while learning audit processes.

This internship emphasizes deadlines, organization, and communication as you collaborate with managers and external partners, gaining practical experience in governance and controls within a global company.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate students entering their senior year, majoring in accounting or finance.
• Possess a strong desire for a career in audit, and will have completed relevant coursework
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and other specialized technology as required
• Deadline-driven with strong attention to detail
• Learns quickly and independently
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and mathematical skills
• Ability to adjust priorities in a rapidly changing environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track PBC (Prepared By Client) requests in Optro, including communicating with process owners, following up on outstanding items, and organizing documentation for audit testing.
• Complete audit testing over assigned audit areas in accordance with audit programs and guidance.
• Report regularly to Internal Audit team members on the status of assignments, key observations, and any issues encountered during fieldwork.
• Assist in drafting audit findings, reports, and recommendations for process improvements.
• Monitor the status of open audit findings and assist in follow-up procedures.
• Perform general administrative tasks, including entering time into Optro, organizing electronic files, and maintaining proper documentation.
• Maintains good relationships with internal managers and employees as well as external clients and others doing business with OCU.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
