Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Internal Audit-Data Strategy & Analytics Associate in Dallas to design and maintain Python-based analytics applications. You will build RESTful APIs, design data models, and optimize SQL for reporting, while working within a distributed Agile team and CI/CD pipelines.

You will contribute to TDD, automated testing, and cloud-native deployment in containerized environments. Strong Python, SQL, and DevOps skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineer experience.
• 3–5 years of strong Python development building production apps and analytics tooling (pandas, NumPy).
• Solid SQL skills and understanding of data modelling concepts (normalization, relational/dimensional design).
• Hands-on experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with unit tests, integration tests, and Test-Driven Development.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum with global/remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications powering analytical and audit workflows.
• Build and expose secure RESTful APIs (Flask or similar) for internal and downstream use.
• Design data models and write efficient SQL to support reporting and analytics.
• Manage source control and CI/CD pipelines; contribute to CI/CD improvements.
• Package and deploy apps to containerized environments with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Promote engineering quality through unit/integration tests and TDD.
• Collaborate with product owners and audit stakeholders in a distributed Agile/Scrum setting.
