Job summary

Coinbase is offering an Internal Audit Analytics Internship for summer 2027. You will join the Internal Audit Data Analytics Team to support data-driven testing of controls across Coinbase's global technology infrastructure and crypto-native products.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Data Science, CS, Statistics, or related field.
• Demonstrated SQL proficiency with large datasets through coursework or internships.
• Familiarity with data ETL concepts across production systems and repositories.
• Experience presenting data findings to non-technical audiences in reports or presentations.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Write SQL queries against Snowflake and other platforms to assess internal controls
• Build continuous auditing processes and AI tooling for use in Internal Audit
• Test system and model changes by validating compliance and performance, and document results
• Produce data extracts and reports translating audit requests into clear outputs
• Validate data ETL processes from production to data repository and to enterprise tools
