Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Internal Audit Analytics Intern for summer 2027. You will work with our Data Analytics Team to test controls across global tech infra and crypto-native products, extracting, analyzing, and validating datasets to support audit objectives.

Responsibilities include writing SQL against Snowflake, building continuous auditing processes, and translating data requests into actionable outputs. This internship emphasizes responsible AI use and data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated SQL proficiency with experience writing queries and working with large datasets through coursework, projects, or prior internships.
• Familiarity with data ETL concepts, including how data moves between production systems, repositories, and enterprise tools.
• Experience presenting data findings to non-technical audiences through written reports, presentations, or project deliverables.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

This is a 12-week internship during summer 2027.

As an Internal Audit Analytics Intern, you'll join the Internal Audit Data Analytics Team and support data-driven testing of controls across Coinbase's global technology infrastructure and crypto-native products. You'll extract, analyze, and validate datasets from Coinbase's internal data systems to assess control design and operational effectiveness, translating audit data requests into SQL-based extracts and actionable findings that support the audit team's control testing objectives.

Hourly Rate: $50—$50 USD
