Job summary

Coinbase is offering a 12-week Internal Audit Internship for Summer 2027. You'll join the Internal Audit team delivering risk-based assurance across IT, SOX, or FCC, gaining hands-on experience from planning to reporting while exploring AI-enabled audit improvements.

This remote-first, hybrid role includes end-to-end audit work, data analysis, and collaboration with senior stakeholders. Expect to present observations and develop real-world control insights in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing BA/BS in accounting, finance, data analytics, or risk management with exposure to internal controls or audit concepts.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical reasoning with ability to evaluate evidence and draw conclusions.
• Ability to document complex processes into workflows, control matrices, and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned audit work end-to-end under guidance and present observations to leadership.
• Build detailed workpapers describing work performed, tests, and conclusions.
• Analyze datasets using SQL or analytics tools to test populations and support findings.
• Apply professional skepticism to evaluate evidence and identify control gaps.
• Map business processes into structured flows and narratives with process owners.
• Explore how AI can improve audit processes and outcomes.
