Overview

The Year Round Intern will support the HR Shared Services Center (SSC) team, which serves as the first point of contact for all Human Resource needs. The HR SSC team provides service and guidance to all Navy Federal team members.

• A requirement of this position is you must be currently enrolled in college level courses or a degree‑seeking program throughout the duration of the internship. Please upload your transcripts by adding them to the “Intern Proof of Enrollment” section of the application.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of HR services and answer or appropriately route employee inquiries pertaining to basic HR programs, processes, procedures, and communications
• Analyze and interpret basic issues; select methods, processes, or tools to meet needs, and coordinate solutions efficiently and accurately
• Provide support with completing personnel actions in a deadline‑driven environment
• Assist with answering customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Run audits as needed, research and address findings
• Assist with completing ad‑hoc requests as necessary
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing employee services and confidentiality as priority
• Provide comprehensive day‑to‑day operational support
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree or certifications in Human Resources
• Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
