Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly deliverables summarizing market developments and economic trends.
  • Research allowable fixed‑income securities for the bank’s investment portfolio.
  • Support portfolio monitoring through data analysis.
  • Update Excel spreadsheets and reports as needed.
  • Complete a comprehensive research project on an assigned topic.
  • Interact with professionals both internally and externally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

This full-time position is part of GCB's Summer Internship Program, which is scheduled to run from Monday, May 17th through Friday, July 23rd, potentially extending through mid-August based on the decision of the hiring manager and department. Additionally, interns must participate in a Final Internship Presentation located in New Orleans on Thursday, July 22nd. Candidates must be available for the full duration of the program to ensure a consistent and meaningful learning experience.

The Trust & Wealth Management intern will participate in wealth management operations and various department initiatives. The intern is responsible for contributing to a variety of initiatives and projects while gaining robust knowledge on the subjects covered. Responsibilities are listed below.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly deliverables summarizing market developments and economic trends
  • Research allowable fixed-income securities for the bank’s investment portfolio
  • Support portfolio monitoring through data analysis
  • Update Excel spreadsheets and reports as needed
  • Complete a comprehensive research project on an assigned topic
  • Interact with professionals both internally and externally
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills/Experience/Education

  • Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
  • Business Majors preferred.
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
