Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Student Intern to support field operations related to the safe and reliable transportation of natural gas. You will gain hands-on experience with compression equipment, field maintenance, troubleshooting processes, and field projects during May–August 2027.

You will work with experienced technicians, learn practical skills, and contribute to safe energy delivery across North America. This internship emphasizes mentorship, real-world projects, and professional development

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Mechanical, Chemical, Pipeline, Automation, or related technical/trades program.
  • Completion of at least one academic term prior to May 2027 start date.
  • Returning to full-time studies immediately after the term.

Responsibilities

  • Support field operations while upholding TC Energy's Safety In Every Step, Personal Accountability, One Team, and Active Learning values.
  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of natural gas compressors and related equipment.
  • Gain hands-on experience using field tools, equipment, and standard operating procedures.
  • Learn and apply safety protocols for field work.
  • Participate in site visits, equipment inspections, and project activities under supervision.
  • Develop technical and problem-solving skills for a field technician role.
