Job summary

TC Energy invites applications for a Student Intern position to support field operations related to the safe and reliable transportation of natural gas. The role offers hands-on experience with compression equipment, field maintenance, troubleshooting, and site inspections, under supervision of experienced technicians.

Applicants must be enrolled in a mechanical/chemical/pipeline/automation program and available full-time for the May–August 2027 term.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an accredited Mechanical, Chemical, Pipeline, Automation or related technical/trades program.
  • Must have completed at least one academic term before May 2027 start date.
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the term.

Responsibilities

  • Support field operations while upholding Safety In Every Step and other core TC Energy values.
  • Assist with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of natural gas compressors and related equipment.
  • Gain hands-on experience using field tools, equipment and procedures.
  • Learn and apply safety protocols for field work.
  • Participate in site visits, equipment inspections and project activities under supervision.
  • Develop technical/problem-solving skills for a field technician role.
