Job summary

TidalHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Intern/Trainee to join our Pharmacy team in Salisbury, MD. The role supports pharmacists and technicians in preparing medications, inventories, and related duties under supervision.

Ideal candidates recently graduated from an ACPE-accredited school and pursuing MD/DE licensure, with MD/DE intern registration. The position operates within a 24/7 staffed pharmacy, with varying shifts and overtime during staffing shortages or surges.

Qualifications

• Recent (within 9 months) graduation from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
• Must be a registered pharmacy intern in the State of Maryland or Delaware.
• Experience as a pharmacy technician and/or pharmacy intern preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in preparing and distributing medications.
• Maintain drug inventory and perform other duties as directed by a licensed pharmacist.
• Work under supervision of a licensed registered pharmacist employed by TidalHealth.

Pharmacy Intern/Trainee Position Summary

The pharmacy graduate is a pharmacy intern that graduated within the last 9 months from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy and is actively pursuing licensure within the state of MD and/or DE. The pharmacy graduate assists pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and performing other duties as directed by a licensed and registered pharmacist. The pharmacy graduate works under the supervision of a licensed registered pharmacist currently employed by TidalHealth.

Pharmacy Intern/Trainee Position Requirements

Education

• Recent (within 9 months) graduation from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
• Must be a registered pharmacy intern in the State of Maryland or Delaware

Experience

• Experience as a pharmacy technician and/or pharmacy intern preferred.

Pharmacy Intern/Trainee Work Schedule

• The pharmacy is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. May be assigned to work mostly one shift or may have a rotational schedule consisting of duty on day and evening shifts, as staffing needs require. Works alternating weekends.
  • Rotational coverage of holidays.
  • Expected to work overtime and/or additional weekends in times of staffing shortages, emergencies, and unexpected increases in workload.
