Job summary

North Atlantic Industries invites an Intern – Test Automation Engineer to join our embedded systems team. You will support the development and maintenance of automated test systems used in production, gaining hands-on experience with hardware and software in a fast-paced environment.

This paid summer internship (Summer 2027) offers exposure to Python/Java/C++, Jenkins, PyTest, Linux, and test-system design, with mentoring from our engineers and opportunities to contribute to real projects.

Qualifications

• Pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of electronics, circuits, or embedded systems.
• Demonstrate familiarity with general‑purpose electronic test equipment.
• Communicate effectively and apply analytical problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, building, and configuring automated test setups.
• Support the maintenance and operation of automated testing tools and systems.
• Document test-system configurations, build procedures, and related technical information.
• Identify, document, and track software or hardware issues encountered during testing.
• Support automated testing tools and frameworks that improve testing efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers on root cause analysis and continuous improvement of test systems.

Summary

• Demonstrate an interest in test‑system design, automation, and production support.

Full-time schedules for Summer internships. (40 hour week) Approx. Start Date End of May/Beg of June.

This is a paid Internship. Internship salary is based on position and academic year standing.
