Job summary

North Atlantic Industries, Inc. invites students to intern as a Test Automation Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Bohemia, NY.

You will support the development and maintenance of automated test systems, gaining hands-on experience with both hardware and software elements of testing and production support. This paid internship is full-time (40 hours/week) with start dates around the end of May/beginning of June.

Qualifications

• Pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of electronics, circuits, or embedded systems.
• Demonstrate familiarity with general-purpose electronic test equipment.
• Communicate effectively and apply analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, building, and configuring automated test setups.
• Support the maintenance and operation of automated testing tools and systems.
• Document test-system configurations, build procedures, and related technical information.
• Identify, document, and track software or hardware issues encountered during testing.
• Support automated testing tools and frameworks that improve testing efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers on root cause analysis and continuous improvement of test systems.

Summary:

• Demonstrate familiarity with Linux environments and scripting.
• Demonstrate an interest in test-system design, automation, and production support.

Full-time schedules for Summer internships. (40 hour week) Approx. Start Date End of May/Beg of June.

This is a paid Internship. Internship salary is based on position and academic year standing.
