Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an innovative intern to join our Human Pharma Supply Chain team in Columbus, OH. The role supports Materials Management and helps manage US inventory to sustain high service levels and minimize waste.

You will also assist in preparing and analyzing data for monthly S&OP meetings across US products. The position is on-site with hybrid flexibility 2–3 days per week, offering exposure to global collaboration and a strong learning environment.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
• Must be enrolled at a college or university for duration of intern work assignment.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred (4.0 scale).
• Major or minor in related field (business or supply chain).
• Undergraduates must complete at least 12 credit hours at current college/university.
• Graduates must complete at least 9 credit hours at current college/university.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for monthly inventory management and S&OP processes via data analysis and Excel reports.
• Create and manage PowerBI dashboards for materials management and planning.
• Support ongoing projects across the Boehringer portfolio from a supply chain perspective.
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI, Copilot, automation and digital solutions to improve operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide support of monthly inventory management and S&OP processes through data analysis and the creation and management of Excel reports and PowerBI dashboards
• Provide support for ongoing projects supporting the Boehringer portfolio from a supply chain perspective
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Microsoft Copilot, automation, and digital solutions to improve materials management and planning processes and operational efficiency
• Provide an external landscape assessment, including a summary and high-level recommendation, for an emerging area of focus related to a pharmaceutical supply chain topic (as identified by hiring manager at the start of the work assignment).

Requirements

• Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing
• Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the intern work assignment
• Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
• Major or minor in related field of intern assignment
• Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university
• Graduate and Advanced Degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
• Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
