Job summary

WEC Energy Group, via WEC Business Services LLC, seeks a Supply Chain intern for Summer 2027 in Milwaukee, WI. The internship is full-time during summer with possible part-time during the academic year, offering a hybrid remote/on-site arrangement.

The role supports procurement activities, data management, and purchase order processing. Starting pay is $21.30 per hour with holidays paid and opportunities to assist on various procurement systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
• Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or closely related degree with a graduation date after June 2027
• Minimum GPA of 2.8
• Supply Chain majors preferred
• Ability to work full time during the summer, part time during the school year

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Procurement areas working with the current processes to ensure high service levels to internal customers
• Assist with project management and process improvements for WEC Energy Group
• Work with SAP and other procurement applications; heavy use of MS Office
• Assist Business Performance team in data management and accounts payable support
• Assist buyers with creation and management of Purchase Orders and Contracts
• Assist buyers in RFP, proposal and information processes and related activities

Education

Job Summary

The Procurement/Supply Chain Intern will assist with the delivery of materials and services within the Procurement Department.

We employ students for summer and year-round opportunities to help design creative cost effective systems and equipment that keep the energy flowing to our customers in a safe and reliable manner. Job Responsibilities

• Provide support to Procurement areas working with the current processes to ensure high service levels to our internal customers


• Manage and execute projects assigned by the Procurement managers or directors, which support process improvement or business enhancements for WEC Energy Group


• Work on both personal computer and Procurement applications (e.g. SAP, Taulia, AdobeSign, Woods Makenzie, etc.). Heavy use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word)


• Assisting the Business Performance team in data management, procurement support, and accounts payable support


• Assisting buyers in creation and management of Purchase Orders and Contracts


• Assisting buyers in request for quote, proposal, and information process


• Assisting the Business Performance team in request for quote, proposal, and information process, as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Pay Range Minimum: $21.30

Pay Range Maximum: $24.60

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
