Job summary

RENK America in Muskegon, MI seeks a Sourcing Supply Chain Intern to support procurement and sourcing across divisions. You will assist with quoting activities and help drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, automation, and cross-functional efficiency.

You will refine commodity sourcing strategies, document procedures, and gain hands-on experience by shadowing procurement personnel in buying, planning, and inventory control in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a accredited Supply Chain or Procurement program with a Jr. or Sr. standing and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to qualify for a security clearance which typically means U.S. Citizenship and a clean background.
• Ability to move freely in a manufacturing setting.

Job Description:

The Sourcing Supply Chain Intern will support key procurement and sourcing functions across multiple divisions. Responsibilities include assisting with quoting activities and leading continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing processes, automation, and cross-functional efficiency. The intern will help refine and document commodity sourcing strategies and gain hands-on experience by shadowing procurement personnel in buying, planning, and inventory control.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to develop Excel macros and Access databases
• Basic understanding of Supply Chain Management
• Understanding of continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma
