The Hagerman Group is seeking an Intern Project Engineer for our Fort Wayne, IN team. The role provides hands-on experience in both field and office settings, supporting project teams with documentation, scheduling, and site visits to learn construction processes and project management fundamentals.

You will assist with RFIs, submittals, logs, and progress tracking, gaining practical knowledge while contributing to safety, quality, and project close‑out activities.

Competenze

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in commercial construction.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC) is a plus.

Mansioni

• Support Project Managers and Project Engineers with documentation such as RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and change orders.
• Create, update, and maintain project logs, reports, and organized files.
• Participate in job site walks to monitor progress, safety, and quality.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
• Help track and analyze project schedules, budgets, and logistics for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Document and communicate project updates by recording meeting minutes and supporting team discussions.
