Job summary

Teknor Apex offers a Procurement Intern position focused on supporting strategic sourcing and sustainability within the Procurement organization. You will assist with supplier management, analytics, and cost-saving initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role provides hands-on experience with global suppliers and exposure to continuous improvement projects in procurement and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability, Data Analytics, Finance
• Interest in procurement, sustainability, and manufacturing
• Strong AI, Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, formulas, and charts)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative

Responsibilities

Procurement Intern

The Procurement Intern will support strategic sourcing and sustainability initiatives within Teknor Apex's Procurement organization. The intern will assist with efforts such as supplier management, cost-saving initiatives, market research, supplier performance analysis, tariff recovery efforts, payment term optimization, procurement analytics, and sustainability projects. This position provides hands‑on experience working with global suppliers while contributing to initiatives that reduce costs, strengthen supplier partnerships, improve supply chain performance, and support the company's sustainability objectives.

The intern will work closely with Procurement, Sustainability, Finance, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, and Operations on high‑impact business projects and will gain exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, procurement analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability, Data Analytics, Finance

Physical Requirements
