Job summary

New-Indy Oxnard LLC invites applications for a Process Engineer Intern at its Oxnard, CA paper mill. You will gain hands-on experience in containerboard production, data analysis, and process optimization through varied projects.

Dates include part-time for 2026–2027 and a full-time summer from May 2027 to September 2027, with a starting pay of $26.00/hour. You will support Production, Maintenance and Technical teams and present findings to management.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Paper Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering degree.
• 2nd or 3rd year student preferred.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills; good written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic software packages.

Responsibilities

• Provide Production, Maintenance and Technical team support.
• Learn and apply knowledge within the containerboard industry.
• Assist with developing operator interfaces and SOPs to promote efficient operation and improved process monitoring.
• Assist with gathering and analyzing data used in continuous improvement efforts.
• May assist maintenance projects involving instrumentation and process control.
• Apply core engineering concepts to solve complex, unfamiliar and novel problems.
• Own assigned project and present findings to management by internship end.

Process Engineer InternNew-Indy Oxnard LLC is currently accepting resumes for an internship as a Process Engineer at the paper mill located in Oxnard, CA. The selected individual will receive experience in operations pertaining to the paper-making process. Internship projects vary from year to year and are based on current business needs at the time of the internship.
