Energy Transfer is seeking an enthusiastic TRIP INTERN to support the NGL Export team in market analysis, data gathering, and operational tasks in Houston. You will gain hands-on experience with global NGL flows, freight trends, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities include assisting with market research, maintaining models, and helping with presentations for management and business development. The role offers exposure to regulatory topics and real-world operations in a leading midstream

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in understanding and analyzing the global NGL market, including supply and demand balances, freight trends, and international trading flows.
  • Support ongoing market research by gathering and summarizing data from company reports, analyst insights, and industry publications.
  • Track major infrastructure projects in the U.S. upstream and midstream sectors to assess potential impacts on NGL supply and demand.
  • Assist in maintaining analytical models and datasets that support the business’s strategic and operational decisions.
  • Learn to use industry tools such as Kpler, Right Angle, and other data platforms to perform market and vessel flow analysis.
  • Help prepare presentations and reports for management, business development, and marketing teams.
  • Provide support in monitoring export documentation and vessel operations, gaining exposure to nominations, freight logistics, and scheduling.
  • Observe and assist with tracking policy and regulatory developments (e.g., Panama Canal operations, IMO regulations) that may impact business performance.

TRIP INTERN

The NGL Export & Market Analysis Intern will support the Energy Transfer NGL Export team in both analytical and operational functions. This role offers hands‑on experience in product and freight market analysis, global NGL trade flows, and exposure to real‑world operations at one of the nation’s leading midstream companies.
