Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an Intern System Compatibility Engineer to join the System Enablement and Test Development teams. You will gain hands-on experience with platform bring-up, memory validation, test development, automation, data analysis, and AI-enabled workflows under expert guidance.

We provide mentorship, onboarding, and exposure to DRAM, BIOS/firmware interactions, computer architecture, and the memory product lifecycle from bring-up to readiness.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or graduate degree in a technical field and continuing in fall term after internship.
• Foundational hardware, OS, and computer architecture knowledge.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, C++, or similar language.

Responsibilities

• Set up and support Intel, AMD, and ARM-based systems in Linux, Windows, and UEFI environments with documented configs.
• Perform memory validation for compatibility, stability, reliability, and performance.
• Reproduce and triage failures; collect logs and diagnostic data; use issue-tracking systems; apply structured failure analysis.
