RENK America is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist engineers in designing and developing engine components and subsystems for the AVDS engine and transmissions. The Mechanical Engineering Intern will be supporting RENK America engineers with the design and development of components and sub-systems at RENK America. The Mechanical Engineering Intern will work primarly on the AVDS Engine which is an air cooled, V-12, turbocharged, diesel engine currently rated up to 1200 hp. Projects range in scope from advanced research and development of future products to failure analysis and incremental improvements to existing products. The Product Engineering Intern will be responsible for requirements development, concept design, analysis, detailed design, drawings, hardware procurement, supplier technical support, test planning and execution, and failure analysis. Other responsibilities may include design and development of components and sub-systems for transmissions and turret drive systems for military ground vehicles at RENK America.
