Job summary

Swire Coca-Cola in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern for a summer program from May through August 2027. You will support daily production line activities, identify losses, and help build capability in manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial) or equivalent.
• Graduation date of Aug 2027 or later.
• Available to work full-time for the duration of the summer (May - August 2027).
• Must not require sponsorship to legally work in the U.S. (i.e., H-1B, TN, OPT, CPT, O-1, E-3, or any other work visas), now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, analyze, and eliminate losses and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with the Line Structure Teams to carry forward and execute improvements.
• Assist in analyzing line performance including run rates, scrap rates, unplanned and planned down times, and any other operational losses including Safety and Quality opportunities.
• Identify 1-3 actions to reduce these losses and create a project charter and scope for each action.

What does a Manufacturing Engineer Intern do at Swire Coca-Cola?

Manufacturing Engineer Interns with identifying and driving out losses through the development of standards and systems. They support the daily activities of the production line(s) and/or processing areas. They build long-term capability into the manufacturing process, systems, and technicians.
