Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join the Microbiology and Molecular team in Tampa, FL. The 11-week, full-time internship offers hands-on exposure to diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and lab operations.

Pay ranges from $17.75 to $22 per hour, with dates June 1st–August 13th, 2027. Eligible students will gain real-world experience, mentorship, and exposure to Labcorp’s global business and culture.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program.
• Strong interest in laboratory science and diagnostics.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures.
• Eagerness to learn and work independently under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation.
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects and follow safety and SOPs.

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our Microbiology and Molecular team located in Tampa, FL

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm / 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities:

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
• Support approved laboratory projects
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program

Internship Details:

• Duration: 11 weeks, full-time
• Dates of Internship: June 1st – August 13th, 2027
• Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

**Pay Range:

$17.75-22/hr

All job offers will bebased on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicabledegrees/certifications,as well as internal equity and market data.
