Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our team in Houston, TX. This 11-week, full-time internship runs June 1st through August 13th, 2027, offering hands-on experience in diagnostic workflows and laboratory operations.

The program includes shadowing, mock testing, and real-world projects, with a pay range of $17.75–$22 per hour. Eligibility requires current enrollment in a related Bachelor's degree program and a strong interest in laboratory science.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor's degree program.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory procedures.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation.
• Participate in mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects.
• Follow all safety and compliance SOPs.

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our team located in Houston, TX

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm / 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
• Support approved laboratory projects
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor's degree program

Internship Details

• Duration: 11 weeks, full-time
• Dates of Internship: June 1st – August 13th, 2027
• Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Pay Range

• Pay Range: $17.75-22/hr

Benefits

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
