Job summary

Labcorp in Phoenix, AZ is offering an 11-week, full-time internship as Lab Intern. You will shadow lab professionals, assist with specimen organization, inventory, and basic techniques under supervision, gaining real-world experience in diagnostics.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology bachelor’s program and eager to learn, with strong attention to detail and good written and verbal communication.

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program
• Demonstrate interest in laboratory science and diagnostics
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain professionalism

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation
• Participate in mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision
• Support approved laboratory projects
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures

Lab Intern

to join our team located in Phoenix AZ

Work Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm/ 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations

Minimum Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program

Internship Details

• Duration: 11 weeks, full-time
• Dates of Internship: June 1st – August 13th, 2027
• Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Pay Range: $17.75-22/hr

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
