MAPFRE invites highly motivated college students to join its IT Summer Internship Program in Webster, MA for a 10-week internship from June 6 to August 13. The Intern will contribute to IT Product Engineering - Common Capabilities, helping build, test, and improve shared platforms and services used across multiple products or teams.

You will gain exposure to security, cloud, APIs, data services, DevOps tools, and monitoring while collaborating with IT professionals and leaders across Mapfre.

As anIT Product Engineering - Common Capabilities Intern,you’ll help build, test, and improve shared technology platforms, tools, and services that multiple products or teams use across an organization. These "common capabilities" are foundational components such as authentication, APIs, data services, cloud infrastructure, DevOps tools, monitoring, automation, and user experience frameworks. You’ll expand your professional network through job shadowing, cross-functional collaboration, and interaction with leaders across the organization.


Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program. Must be able to provide own transportation.

What You’ll Do


Proactively assess and resolve the security risks in Public Cloud and Data Center Infrastructure environment. Perform vulnerability scanning on Networks, Linux/Windows, VmWare and in AWS environment and drive resolution efforts. Make recommendations for vulnerability resolutions, drive resolution activities, and Keep a track of vulnerability remediation progress. Keep a track of latest vulnerabilities and CVEs and recommend and implement resolutions. Develop hands-on skills with security scanning tools, SIEM tools. Coordinate with other security SMEs to enable/disable Firewall ports. Implement security by implementing Akamai solutions to public facing URLs.

  • Knowledge of AWS, Linux, Windows, Networks, Firewalls, Cyber Security in general

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Salary Range: $29.00 - $31.00
