Qualifications

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, quality, and delivery.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management technologies (SSO, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML).
  • Bonus: Genesys Cloud CX or similar UC platforms.

The Common Platforms team at Mapfre Insurance is responsible for Business Automation, Enterprise Content Management, and Unified Communications technologies. We build, integrate, and support the shared platforms, integrations, and digital capabilities that enable efficient operations, exceptional customer experiences, and workforce productivity.

We are seeking an experienced Platform Automation Engineer for our Unified Communications team to build and support integrations, automation solutions, and reporting capabilities across Unified Communications and enterprise platforms. This role will help improve self-service capabilities, reduce lead times for service delivery and platform changes, and enable the adoption of next-generation AI-assisted and agentic services that enhance employee and customer experiences.

Responsibilities

As a Platform Automation Engineer, you will develop and support integrations, automation solutions, and reporting capabilities that enable business operations and enhance Mapfre Insurance's Unified Communications platforms and services:

  • Enable self-service, reduce lead times for platform changes, and support AI-assisted and agentic solutions through integrations, automation, and data connectivity.
  • Design, develop, and support integrations between Unified Communications platforms, enterprise applications, cloud services, and business systems.
  • Build automation solutions, APIs, and reporting capabilities that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance service delivery.
  • Collaborate with IT Analysts, Engineers, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and vendors to gather requirements and deliver scalable, reliable technical solutions.
  • Participate in request fulfillment, operational support, incident management, and a rotating on-call schedule to better understand the employee and customer experience and develop automation, integrations, and self‑service capabilities that simplify processes, reduce lead times, and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Relevant experience in software engineering, systems integration, automation, or platform engineering may be considered in lieu of a degree for candidates with a strong technical background.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, systems integration, platform engineering, automation development, or related technical roles.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting integrations between enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, cloud services, and business systems.
  • Experience developing solutions using Python, TypeScript, APIs, web services, databases, and modern software development practices.
  • Experience supporting production applications and services, including troubleshooting, incident response, operational support, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver business and technology solutions.
  • Experience leveraging AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar technologies to accelerate development, quality, and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of application integration, REST APIs, web services, event‑driven architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑native architectures and services, particularly AWS, as well as CI/CD practices utilizing Git, GitHub, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and automation frameworks such as Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with relational databases and NoSQL technologies, including data modeling, data integration, reporting, and analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management technologies, including Single Sign‑On (SSO), OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and collaborating effectively with IT Analysts, Engineers, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Experience with and strong interest in automation, artificial intelligence, AI‑assisted workflows, and emerging agentic technologies that improve business and customer experiences.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills and experience supporting users through service requests, incident resolution, platform enhancements, and technology adoption.
  • Bonus Qualifications: Experience and/or certifications with Genesys Cloud CX or similar Unified Communications, Contact Center, and customer engagement platforms. Familiarity with SIP, VoIP, telephony, call routing, and cloud communications technologies is a plus.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000
