Job summary

COPT Defense Properties is seeking a help desk technician in Columbia, MD to deliver Tier I/II desktop support to end users. You will monitor the help desk phone, email, and ticketing system to record and resolve issues, and assist with imaging and endpoint management as part of an ongoing network redesign project.

The role requires pursuing an IT/CS degree with proficiency in MS Office and a strong analytical mindset. On-site availability and willingness to learn company software are essential.

Job description

Position Summary

Provide Tier I/II desktop operating systems and application support to end user base. Monitor help desk phone, email, and support ticketing system to receive, record and resolve issues.

Essential Functions

• Supporting the COPT Service Center with ticket management, endpoint management/imaging systems, and Tier 1 support to end users.
• Support the network engineers in basic network administration tasks (we have an ongoing network redesign project underway).

Secondary Responsibilities

• Other job-related duties as assigned.
• Assist in Asset Management of IT equipment.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior majoring in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) and ability to learn company specific software.
