Job summary

ConocoPhillips is offering a Digital & IT Summer Internship designed to give you hands-on experience in key IT disciplines while aligning with our safety and integrity values. You will work on meaningful assignments alongside subject-matter experts, gaining exposure to real-world projects across analytics, cloud, AI, and security.

Internships typically run 10 to 12 weeks at our Bartlesville, OK or Houston, TX offices.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis for anyone other than current employer and/or education institution
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, other related field, or foreign equivalent
  • Current level in college: Freshman through Senior
  • Expected graduation date: Fall 2027 through Spring/Fall 2030
  • Available for internship start mid-late May 2027
  • A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for internship

Responsibilities

  • Meaningful Assignments: Work directly alongside ConocoPhillips subject matter experts in disciplines such as: Application/Automation Development, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Engineering, Data & Analytics, Emerging Digital Technologies, Enterprise Business Capabilities, Firewall Engineering, IT Security, Network Engineering, Telecommunications.
  • Guidance and Support: Your supervisor and mentors will provide regular feedback, coaching, and guidance throughout your internship.
  • Networking Opportunities: Interact with leaders and plug into our wide array of Employee Resource Groups.
  • Final Presentation: At the end of the summer, showcase your findings and accomplishments through a capstone presentation.

Internship assignments will typically be at our Bartlesville, Oklahoma or Houston, Texas offices. Typical length of our internships varies from 10 to 12 weeks based on the project and your availability.

Basic/Required:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis for anyone other than current employer and/or education institution
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, other related field, or foreign equivalent
  • Current level in college: Freshman through Senior
  • Expected graduation date: Fall 2027 through Spring/Fall 2030
  • Available for internship start mid-late May 2027
  • A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for internship
Preferred:
  • Willing to work in either of these locations: Bartlesville, OK or Houston, TX
  • A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
  • Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what’s right
  • Understands how key financial and quantitative indicators impact the business
