UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, seeks a radiology professional to join our team providing imaging services across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will prepare and position patients, ensure exposure factors are accurate, and support physicians and technologists in diverse imaging procedures.

We value safety and patient care, require BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and enrollment in an accredited radiology program.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent and enrollment in an accredited radiology program.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

• Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately.
• Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepare for and assist supervising technologists and physicians in imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope and regulations.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department and procedure rooms.

We offer flexible scheduling and professional growth through cross-training, and work collaboratively to support diagnostics and critical interventions, contributing directly to exceptional patient care and positive outcomes.

Job Description

Provide services to patients under the direct supervision.

• Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately.
• Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High school diploma equivalency AND enrolled in an accredited program specific to discipline.
