Job summary

BMW of North America is seeking a Spring 2027 Intern in Woodcliff Lake, NJ for a 25–29 hour weekly hybrid role. You will support HR partners and recruiting, coordinate interviews, and analyze HR data to drive decisions.

You will contribute to onboarding, training coordination, and employee lifecycle processes. Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program, have US work authorization, a 3.0+ GPA, and at least 60 completed credits.

Responsibilities

• Support HR Business Partners and Recruiting with talent acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and workforce planning.
• Assist in coordinating recruitment activities and applicant tracking system administration.
• Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and prepare reports.
• Participate in employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, training coordination, performance management, and offboarding.
• Help develop HR communications, presentations, training materials, and SOPs.
• Gain exposure to employment law, HR policies, compensation and benefits programs.

• Assist in coordinating recruitment activities, including candidate screening, interview scheduling, and applicant tracking system administration.
• Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, prepare reports, and support data-driven decision making.
• Participate in employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, training coordination, performance management, and offboarding activities.
• Help develop and maintain HR communications, presentations, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
• Gain exposure to employment law, HR policies, compensation and benefits programs, and strategic human resources management.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
• US Work Authorization required.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (overall, not just major).
• Completed at least 60 college credit hours at the time of application.
• Ability to work part-time (25-29 hours/week).
• Must submit an unofficial college transcript with your application.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.

• Field of Study: Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology.
• Business fluent English.
• Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment.
• Passionate about HR methods.

• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Preferences:
  • Languages: German or Spanish language skills (fluent, oral and written).
  • Previous experience in Applicant Tracking Systems.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. This is a hybrid role that requires in office days.

Undergraduate students: Hourly rate is $25.30.
Graduate students: Hourly rate is $32.20.
