Job Description Summary Job Description University Student Intern – Hot Gas Path Value Engineering & Project Management Job Description This University Student Intern role will be a key contributor within the Product Management function supporting the Pivot to Value (P2V) Hot Gas Path (HGP) Value Engineering team. The Intern will support strategic initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and capacity across GE Vernova’s Gas Turbine Hot Gas Path product portfolio, including blades, nozzles, shrouds, and near flow path seal (NFPS) components. Working alongside Product Managers, Value Engineers, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Repair, Quality, and Field Services teams, the Intern will participate in projects that drive value optimization, cost reduction, manufacturability improvements, lifecycle cost reduction, and execution excellence for HGP parts. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting component‑level value engineering while learning how engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, repair, and commercial teams collaborate to deliver customer value. Value Engineering is a practice focused on identifying and implementing solutions that optimize product value through improved design, manufacturing efficiency, repairability, sourcing strategies, quality enhancement, and cost reduction. The Intern will support these efforts through project coordination, cost analysis, data management, business case support, and engineering‑focused problem solving across the HGP portfolio. This Intern position offers a unique opportunity to develop technical, business, and leadership skills while contributing to meaningful projects that improve Hot Gas Path product value, component cost, manufacturability, repairability, quality, and operational execution.
The pay range for this position is $1,000-$2,000 USD weekly. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
